Definition: A code-mixing term used by working class Hong Kongers to refer to a set of responsibilities and duties undertaken by a job position. At times, it may simply be a role that a person plays, but not one where much work is to be done.

Usage: E.g. 講廢role黎講，睇咗好耐一直覺得PM先最撚廢[sosad]十個有9個都唔知detail，又唔識domain野 ，解決問題又幫唔到手，同人講數因為唔熟啲野又講唔到咩好結果出黎 (Speaking of useless roles, I have observed for a long time and I always thought project manager is the most useless. It's like nine out of ten of them do not know the details or have domain knowledge. They also cannot solve problems or help others, and when they talk to people regarding issues they cannot reach any good results because they are not familiar with anything.)

Definition: A code-mixing term used by working class Hong Kongers to refer to the numerical maximum and minimum of something such as salary, rather than something like an area or three dimensional.

Usage: E.g. expected salary寫左一個range(20-23k) 依個range hr話ok 但冇同我講offer最後會出幾錢 (I wrote 20 to 30k for expected salary and the human resources department said it was okay, but they did not tell me how much the offer would be at the end.)

Definition: Often pronounced as 'grandma', this is a code-mixing term that local Hong Kong students use to refer to the set of rules that define the structure of a language, which can be difficult and annoying sometimes like a grandma.

Definition: A code-mixing term used by overseas educated Hong Kongers to refer to being able to gain experience of something by being in a particular environment rather than having physical contact with something. However, it is not to be confused with public exposure.

Usage: E.g. 學習語言要夠exposure。(Learning a language needs enough exposure.) E.g. 做開大行去細行一定唔慣，exposure 又細啲，資源又小啲。(It must be hard getting used to working in a small company if you came from a large company. There is less exposure and resources are also less.)
