cappacino

Synonym:

recap

AI

Definition: A code-mixing term used by native Hong Kongers as a trendier way to refer to artificial intelligence because it sounds more powerful like an entity that is capable of operating on its own rather than something that is just man-made as the Cantonese term denotes.

(Boss: In case people find out that AI can replace you, I can't protect you if the senior executives have to fire you. You see I am not mentioning anything to them so you better be smart. Since AI is so powerful, it might even fire me in a minute, you brat.)

Synonym:

Fake it till you fail it

Definition: Similar to the famous quote 'fake it till you make it', this is a code-mixing phrase used by working class Hong Kongers to refer to acting as if you are confident and capable until you achieve the results, except that it is full of bragging and shouting nonsense at a very high volume.

Usage: E.g. 口號型經濟,大家一齊fake it till you fail it (Without research, there can be no insights. The whole group is shouting nonsense, as if shouting louder will suddenly make business sense. Slogan type economics, let's fake it till you fail it together.)

Synonym:
