so

Definition: A code-mixing term used by Fake ABC Hong Kongers to emphasize the intensity of something by elongating the vowel 'o' in 'so'. Even though it is a habit of real ABC's, it is worth noting that the 'so' must not be too long and should serve as the only stress point in an entire sentence, or else the person may sound too obnoxious like a Fake American Born Chinese.

Usage: E.g. 如果你見到有個ABC開口埋口 "I AM SOOOOO SORRY" "I AM SOOOOOOOO HAPPY TO SEE YOU" "THE FOOD IS SOOOOOOOOOO GOOD" 你就識得分真偽ABC (If you come across an American-Born Chinese who keeps saying things like "I AM SOOOOO SORRY," "I AM SOOOOOOOO HAPPY TO SEE YOU," or "THE FOOD IS SOOOOOOOOOO GOOD," you’ll be able to tell whether they are real or fake ABC.)

Synonym: 非常

timing

Synonym: 時機
